河南大学口腔医学院是目前国内综合性大学与海外高水平口腔医学教育院校、国内先进民营口腔医院合作共建的口腔医学院。2017年4月，河南大学与美国罗切斯特大学伊斯特曼医学与牙医学院、河南赛思口腔医院签约合作，并由美国罗切斯特大学伊斯特曼牙医学院任延方教授出任口腔医学院院长，河南大学口腔医学院正式成立。

口腔医学院以在建的现代化口腔医学中心以及基础医学院、淮河医院、第一附属医院、河南大学省人民医院、赛思口腔医院的师资、临床力量和资源条件为依托，联合国际、国内知名院校，以“高起点、国际化、研究型的现代化口腔医学院”为目标，积极开展口腔医学教育、科学研究和临床服务模式改革与创新，着力打造口腔医学科技创新中心和口腔医学人才培养高地。

口腔医学为河南省一级重点学科。河南大学口腔医学专业设置于1999年，2002年开始招收5年制本科生，2017年获批口腔医学硕士专业学位授权点，2019年开始招收口腔医学专业型学位硕士研究生。目前口腔医学专业为河南省一流专业建设点，口腔医学教育以职业胜任力为导向，立足中原，面向全国，培养具有胜任力、领导力、国际视野的高素质人才。

学院目前拥有中华口腔医学会“中部崛起”继续教育示范基地，全省口腔种植专科医师培训基地，口腔全科、口腔内科、口腔颌面外科、口腔修复、口腔正畸专业5个住院医师规范化培训基地。口腔实验中心为校级先进实验室，设有口腔头模实验室、口腔技能实验室、口腔临床实验室及其他实验教学设施。学院附属医院拥有牙椅162台，床位93张，仿真头模体系统112台套，年接诊总量54万余次，为本科、研究生临床教学及规范化培训提供强有力的保障。

学院现有教学、科研、医疗等工作人员139名，其中高级职称38人，具有博士学位人员9人，具有硕士学位人员51人，国际牙医师学院院士1人，河南大学杰出人才特区支持计划第一层次人才1人，省科技创新人才2人。近年来，完成和在研科研项目近70项，发表学术论文近300篇，多人次荣获校级以上教改项目和教学质量奖。

立足目标，学院注重学术交流与国际化培养。中华口腔医学会“口腔健康促进与口腔医学发展中部崛起”公益活动定期在我校开展学术交流与教学帮扶活动。同时，学院已对研究生开通美国罗切斯特大学伊斯特曼医学与牙医学院部分口腔全科课程，并选派优秀研究生赴国外研修。面向未来，学院将积极改善科研与教学条件，加快学科建设步伐，为人才培养提供更强有力的支撑。

Introduction of School of stomatology HENU

School of Stomatology in Henan University is currently establised of a comprehensive university in collaboration with overseas high-levels stomatological education institutions and domestic advanced private stomatological hospitals. In April 2017, Henan University signed a cooperation contract with Eastman School of Medicine and Dentistry of the University of Rochester and Henan Sath Dental Hospital. Professor Ren Yanfang from Eastman School of Dentistry at University of Rochester was appointed as the dean of School of Stomatology. School of Stomatology in Henan University was officially established.

The School of Stomatology is constructed based on the educators, clinical strength and resources from the modern stomatology Center, Basic Medical College, Huaihe Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital, Henan University Provincial People's Hospital and Sath Stomatology Hospital. The school of Stomatology aims to become a "modern stomatology school with a high starting point, internationalization and research-oriented, which actively carries out the reform and innovation of stomatological education, scientific research and clinical service mode, and strives to build a innovation center of stomatological science and technology and also a stomatological talent training highland.

Stomatology is the first-class key discipline in Henan Province. The Stomatology program of Henan University was founded in 1999 and began to enroll 5-year undergraduate students in 2002. In 2017, it was authorized to grant a master's degree in stomatology, and began to enroll master's degree students in stomatology in 2019. At present, stomatology is the first-class major construction point in Henan Province. Stomatology education is professional competency oriented, based on the central plains, facing the whole country, nurturing high-quality talent with competency, leadership, and international perspective.

At present, the college has the continuing education demonstration base of "Rise of Central China" by the Chinese Stomatological Association, the provincial training base for oral implant specialists, and 5 standardized training bases for resident physicians in the fields of oral general practice, oral medicine, oral and maxillofacial surgery, oral prosthodontics and orthodontics. The oral laboratory center is a university-level advanced laboratory equipped with an oral head modeling laboratory, oral skills laboratory, oral clinical laboratory and some other experimental teaching facilities. The affiliated hospital has 162 dental chairs, 93 beds, 112 sets of simulated head model system, receiving more than 540,000 visits annually, providing a strong guarantee for undergraduate and postgraduate clinical teaching and standardized training.

The college has 139 staff totally for teaching, scientific research and medical service, including 38 senior titles, 9 doctors, 51 masters, 1 academician of the International College of Dentistry, 1 first-level talent of Henan University Special Zone support Program for Outstanding Talents, 2 provincial scientific and technological innovation talents. In recent years, the college has approximately 70 scientific research projects were completed or in progress, published nearly 300 academic papers, and acquired many school-level or above educational reform projects and teaching quality awards.

Based on its goals, the school attaches great importance to academic exchanges and international cultivation. The "Oral Health promotion and the Rise of Stomatology development in Central China" public welfare activity of the Chinese Stomatological Association regularly carries out academic exchanges and teaching support activities in our school. At the same time, the school has opened some general oral courses of the Eastman School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Rochester, and selected outstanding postgraduate students to study abroad. Confronting the future, the college will actively reinforce the research and teaching conditions, accelerate the pace of discipline construction, and provide stronger support for the personnel training.
